Alvin Sterling Silver Porringer Bowl
The Alvin Mfg. Co. was started in 1886 producing beautiful sterling silver pieces. In 1919 the ownership changed. In 1928 the company became Gorham Co.. I believe this porringer was produced around 1917 and was used by a family members mother for her infant.

The bowl measures 3 3/4 inches in diameter,1 1/2 inches deep and weighs approx. 3 ounces. A beautiful lattice design on the handle sets this porringer off.
On the back of the handle it is marked Alvin/Sterling.
Considering the age of this bowl it is in good condition. Only a few small dents can be seen. There are a few dark spots on the bottom of the inside that need a strong polishing. No other issues are noted at this time..Vintage condition almost 100 years old.
