Vintage CHANEL "Camellia" Flower 18K Yellow Gold Brooch With South Seas Pearl

This is a knockout CHANEL Brooch direct from a Connecticut Estate. It is very heavy, weighing in the neighborhood of 62 grams. It is centered with a very fine Rose' South Seas Pearl of about 12mm + in diameter. The Brooch is signed on the reverse side.

The Brooch is fastened to clothing with a double pinstem. The piece measures about 2-1/2" in diameter.

The Camellia was Coco Chanel's favorite Flower. Here is a bit of history that I found on her website:
