Vintage Chestnut Sheared MOUTON Swing Jacket Flap Collar Cuff Sleeves size 12 - 40 Chest Near MINT Condition

This coat is in fabulous condition, it looks like it just came out of the store. I cannot find a thing wrong with it! It has a hook and eye closure at the neck and both parts are securely attached. The lining is embroidered with the name of the original owner.

There are two slit pockets in the front of the coat. It has a wonderful embroidered lining.

The jacket has a large flap collar that measures 18" wide across the back by about 8" deep. The cuffed sleeve length from the armpit is 16" as it has large dropped armpits, and from the shoulder the sleeves measure about 25" this measurement was taken while on the dress form. It measures about 40" across the chest and at the shoulders across the back about 20". The drop of the coat measures 24-1/2" from the collar seam at the center of the inside collar.

These dimensions are measured the same way as a tailor would measure them. I know this as my father was a NYC educated Menswear Designer and that is how he taught me to measure clothes. The best way to measure your sleeve length is from your armpit, not from the top of your shoulder, your chest across directly under your armpits.
