Sterling Silver Ingot - Hamilton Mint - Indonesia

This sterling coin is from a series of art ingots which were put out by the Hamilton Mint called The Countries of the World. This is the ingot for Indonesia. On one side in beautiful detail is a person carrying a very large object on their head in front of two tall buildings along with the name of the country. The opposing side has a wonderful architectural view of what looks like a staircase in a palace. This has never been handled without gloves or cleaned but shows a light discoloration on one side. The portion that shows blue in the photo has a mirror finish which is reflecting the camera. It measures 1" in diameter and weighs approximately 6.9 dwt. Along the edge it is marked STERLING. It also has 4 small circles. In the first is the letter C. Next is a joined HM, I assume for Hamilton Mint. The next one has the number 78 and the last has the letter P. This was purchased from the mint during the late 1970's and early 1980's. Each ingot in the series came with a 3 1/2" by 6" sheet of paper with statistics and a history of the country. This comes enclosed in its original plastic capsule and the fact sheet.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
