Vintage German Bisque Match Holder - Comical Character

This old bisque piece has all the whimsey of a Schafer & Vater piece but is not marked. The little boy looks like a Katzenjammer Kid sitting at a small table eating ....meatballs? that look like golf balls! It is open in the back and was probably used to hold matches. It is marked Germany on the back along with a number. There appears to something else but is rather garbled like it was mis-struck. The colors are soft, except for the green hat and the black on the utensils.

It measures about 3 5/8" high and is in good condition with no cracks or damage.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
