Mexican Pottery Pitcher with Bird Design

This piece of pottery was made in Mexico, decorated in the fashion of the Tonala area. The little pitcher has a blue bird and flower under the spout and little butterflies on either side. It has a pale grayish blue ground with a brown glaze on the rim and handle. It could be used as a creamer or for syrup or sauces and is marked on the bottom with what appears to be; NO SURO MEX.

It measures about 3 1/8” high at the spout and by 5 ¼” from spout to outside edge of the handle. It is in good condition with minimal wear.

The pictures are not shown at actual size. Please refer to the description for actual measurements.
