Cool Black Cat Flannel and Vintage Chenille Kitty Quilt

What fun, I thought, when I found this cute feline flannel fabric printed with sleek and stylish black kitty cats on a retro abstract pattern background in lavender, purple and white! First, I made my cat Tipitina her own little quilt comfort kitty blanket by adding a border of vintage white popcorn chenille to two pieces of the flannel, with standard weight polyfill quilt batting in between. I hand tied it with off white corded cotton thread, which reminds me of her whiskers. She absolutely loves it! Snuggles up on it every day for her afternoon nap.She is modeling hers on a rainy day. So, now, I'm making some more variations to share with you and the fabulous felines friends in your life. This one is 19" x 24", and reversible with the whisker ties on one side only. They are versatile, portable and washable. Launder easily in your washer and dryer. Place on you couch, chair, bed, rug, in their favorite sunspots, and kitty will snuggle up. Keeps the fur off the furniture! Good in your automobile, cat carrier or crate when kitty needs to go to the vet, it's like a little bit of home away from home. I'll be making more in different patterns and combinations of flannel and vintage chenille, including a hi loft batting version for senior citizens like my old Maine Coon cat Ruff who has arthritis and needs a puffy one.
