Wade Teapot Newcastle Bridges 1960's

A good teapot made by Wade and commissioned by the tea merchants Ringtons, which company also had a long association with another Newcastle company, Maling. The hexagonal teapot is decorated with six panels of famous bridges: The New Tyne Bridge - Newcastle, The Humber Bridge, Royal Tweed Bridge - Berwick, Wearmouth Bridge - Sunderland, and High Level & Swing Bridges - Newcastle Transporter Bridge.

Size: 6" high to top of finial x 9" across handle to spout.

Condition: Very good, with no chips, cracks or restoration. There is a tiny amount of rub to the gilding on the finial.
