Wardle Pottery Dovecote Lantern Candle Holder C1917-30
A handsome pottery lantern of large size from the Wardle Pottery, lushly glazed in a rich raspberry.
The lantern is modelled as a dovecote with shingled dome roof, and the panelled walls are incised with
diamond lattice to filter the light from the candle which would be held in the integral interior holder.
Fully marked to base plus Registration mark No. 659858 relating to 1917.
Size: 9" to tip of handle
Condition: Very fine, no damage and no restoration.
