British Christmas tin, Santa Claus, George Horner c. 1950
Made for George Horner toffee c. 1950 in England, this tin has a cheery image of Santa Claus, or Father Christmas on the lift off lid. Santa sports a long white beard and has a sack of toys over his shoulder, a Christmas tree in his other hand. With a impish twinkle in his eye, he is very jolly! The tin is in very nice condition for its age, octagonal in shape, and measures 5.25" by 4 1/8" by 1.25". These English holiday tins come in quite a variety and they are a fun collection for Christmas and delight children of all ages.
