Limoges Dresser Box & Hair Tidy Hand Painted

Pretty shades of pink, blue, and very pale yellow were used for the hand painted flowers and background on the lids. The bases are painted a Robins egg blue.They have a neat hexagon shape. Although in a few of the pictures they appear to have a luster finish they don't.

The powder box measures 4 1/4" wide by 2 1/2" high and the hair tidy measures the same. They are in excellent condition save for a nibble off the bottom of the rim of one of the bases. Hand painted and signed on the bottom, Stover, along with the year 1940. One base carries the PP Limoges France mark green porcelain mark 1903-1919 which is the Paroutaud Freres Limoges Porcelains factory mark. Although these were painted in 1940 they were produced ca. 1903-1919.
