Blue Ridge Pottery "Chablis" Dinnerware Set- Thirty (30) Pieces

Thirty-one (31) matching pieces of Blue Ridge Pottery in the scarce Chablis pattern with hand painted luscious purple grapes sporting green leaves. Made by the Blue Ridge Pottery of Erwin TN in the "Colonial" shape. Circa 1930. The Blue Ridge Pottery Company closed in 1957.

Included are (a) Six dinner plates measuring 9 1/2" in diameter. No chips or cracks. (b) Six cups and six saucers. The saucers measure 6" in diameter. One cup is cracked - the other cups and saucers have no chips or cracks. (c) Six dessert/bread plates measuring 6 1/2" in diameter. No chips or cracks. (d) One (1) vegetable bowl measuring 9 1/2" across the top. It has one chip. (5) Six (6) fruit bowls measuring 5 1/2" in diameter have no chips or cracks.

Marked on the back of most of the pieces: "Blue Ridge, Underglaze, Southern Potteries, Inc., Made in U.S.A.

This pattern can be found on pages 74 and 177 of Betty and Bill Newbound's "Blue Ridge Dinnerware Vol II".

Beautiful and scarce pattern.
