Vintage Unused Sunday School RALLY DAY POSTCARD ~ 'Church Spire'
This vintage post card features a tinted colour photo of a white church spire framed by tree branches with a blue sky background. Heavenly white clouds complete this lovely view of classic ecclesiastical architecture.
Rally Day is an event associated with some Protestant Christian church congregations. It is usually held in late August or in September to signify the end of summer holidays and a return to the Christian education of Sunday School attendance.
The reverse has an address field and also pre-printed blank spaces to provide the details of date, time and place. This religion-themed vintage postcard is numbered "Form 1126" and was "Printed in U.S.A." by the "S. P. Co.". "Photograph by G. A. Douglas, from Gendreau, N. Y." is also noted.
This piece of Sunday School-related ephemera / memorabilia is in excellent condition with little attendant signs of age and wear. It is eminently suitable for framing, inclusion in an album, or for use in a scrapbooking project.
