Vintage 1940s Johannes Brahm Heart Candy Trinket Dresser Box

This beautiful porcelain covered heart box was created 1940s – 50s by Johannes Brahm of California, and could be used as a candy dish or trinket or dresser box. Or, fill it with truffles and gift it to your loved one on Valentine’s Day.

Sides are fluted scallops and top is decorated with individual pieces, forming the leaves and petals of two gorgeous lifelike magenta pink roses. They are wonderfully realistic and dimensional, sitting 1 3/4 inches above the surface, and have a rich velvety look.

Box has some light overall crazing, noticed when examining closely. The only flaw, nicely camouflaged, is a chip to the tip of one petal. From the top it looks fine and doesn’t look too bad from underneath. This can be seen in the last two images. There is one dot of green on the cover from when the leaves were painted. No other damage or faults.

Bottom is signed by the maker, Johannes Brahm, California. It measures 6 inches from the point of the heart to the top, 6 1/2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches high to top of cover. Flowers add another 1 3/4 inches to the height.

A beautiful heart treasure for yourself or someone you love!
