Art Deco Candlestick Lamp Pottery Pair Original Shades

This unique pair of 1920s to 1930s Art Deco candlestick lamps features a three tiered pottery base, in a mottled blue glossy glaze, and original fibre drip faux candles, with a bronzed antiqued finish. An Art Deco motif is the focal point on the original parchment style clip on shades, in a deep bronze color. Metal trim protects the top and bottom of each shade.

Lamps measure 16 inches high to top of shade, 12 1/4 inches to top of socket, and 4 inches across the base. A replacement felt covering has been added to the base for tabletop protection. Wiring was just updated, making them ready for instant use.

They are in very good condition, with only minor faults. One base has a tiny pencil point loss to the blue glaze on the edge of the second tier and another tiny surface loss at the back. The other has a 3/8 inch area that has a lighter blue color. Examining with a loupe, it appears the glaze did not cover in that spot. Some loss to the blue is evident just around the area where the fibre candle is inserted, but is not distracting or significant.

One shade has two small crease lines on the back. The other has more pronounced crease lines in one area, but remains quite sturdy, with no denting or impressions. This could also be turned to the back. Shades are still quite sound.

I have tried to mention every tiny flaw, but they are really minimal and do not detract from the uniqueness or beauty of these vintage candlestick lamps. When lit, the shade design is nicely highlighted and they cast a beautiful glow.
