Blenko Mid Century Honey Amber Glass Disc Candle Holder Pair

These mid-century honey amber colored disc shaped candleholders were made by Blenko, circa 1963, and are referenced in Leslie Pina’s Blenko Glass 1962 – 1971 Catalogs. Number assigned by Blenko was 990A and measurements are 3 1/8 inch diameter and 1 5/8 inches high.

Top surface is smooth, while sides and bottom have a softly textured surface. They exhibit the usual glass imperfections, with lines, dimples or tiny bubbles. No chips or cracks.

There is a light and narrow ring of wear on the top surface of one that is only noticed when you hold it in the light a certain way. Perhaps it was reversed and used as a coaster. They have a beautiful fiery golden amber glow when the light plays on them.
