Flapper Scalloped Amber Beaded Purse
This vintage art deco era purse features a beautiful amber colored knitted background with gradated scallops of hundreds of iridescent amber beads. The exceptional hand bead work is accented with a gold toned frame decorated with a scroll work pattern.
The purse's silhouette tapers from a wide bottom to a thinner top at the frame. A feminine thin chain runs from one frame side to the other assuring the purse won't gape. The interior of the purse exposes the remarkable craftsmanship of this piece.
This vintage beauty is in excellent condition. There are no missing or loose beads and the fabric is solidly connected to the frame. The purse measures 10" at the bottom's wides point and tappers to 6" at the frame. It hangs approximately 5 1/2" from the top of the frame to the bottom of the purse.
