Vintage Porcelain Trinket Box Boy Figural Japan

A sweet figural of a little boy wearing a hat forms the finial on top of this porcelain trinket box. There are remnants of a blue foil label indicating this piece was made in Japan.

The piece is 4 1/2 inches high, with the figural of the seated boy making up 2 1/2 inches of that. The round jar diameter is 2 1/2 inches at rim and base. The lid is gently scalloped and the base color is white with gold trim, and the child is wearing a blue shirt, beige shorts and a white hat, with blue eyes and charcoal hair. Condition is excellent.
