Vintage Stretch White Lace Belt Mother of Pearl Shell Slide Buckle

The bold look of the 1980s is evident in the big slide buckle of the belt, made from a lovely piece of polished mother of pearl shell (MOP). The buckle slides on the fabric belt via two brass loops, embedded in a resin glue attached to the back of the shell. The stretch fabric of the belt is white lace, a cotton/polyester/nylon blend and with the UNIT trademark. The ends of the belt have strips of velcro inside, for adjustable fastening.

The shell buckle is 4 1/2 x 3 inches and the belt is 36 x 4 inches unstretched. Condition is clean and vintage excellent.
