Vintage Ceramic White Ornamental Set Applied Red Roses

A delightful set of matte white ceramic bisque porcelain pieces (glazed inside)with exquisite applied red roses, accented with green leaves and gold trim. It was made in Japan c 1950s that would look great on a dresser or mantel.

The set consists of a handled basket, a swan, a shoe and a bell that rings with a sweet tinkle. The basket could be used to hold trinkets or candy while the swan and shoe could serve as vases, planters etc.

The basket is 5.25 x 3 inches and 5 inches tall with gilded handle and is gold stamped PR-20J and with a blue foil Made in Japan sticker on the bottom. The swan has 4 inch high wings and is about 4.5 inches from graceful neck to upturned tail. It has a golden beak and eyes and is gold marked PR-20O with the foil sticker designating Japanese origin. The high heeled boot-style shoe has a curved upfront and is 4 x 2.5 inches with gold stamp PR-20I and only remnants of its foil label. The gilt handled bell is 3 x 2.25 inches with ceramic gong attached to a wire loop and is gold stamped PR-20L and again only a vestige of the blue Made in Japan sticker.

All pieces are in remarkably excellent condition
