Vintage Key Brooch Lapis Blue Cabochon Gilded Pin

I was told this sweet key brooch has a genuine lapis lazuli stone cabochon and the metal is brightly gilded (? plated, layered or filled) but I cannot find any marks. It is beautifully made. The lapis stone has the characteristic mottled shades of blue, with miniscule silver crystals glistening in areas

The skeleton key is 1.25 inches long and 0.5 inches across the top, with the blue cabochon at 0.25 inches diameter. Excellent condition with a rollover swivel C safety clasp.
