Vintage Black Evening Dress Asymmetrical One Shoulder Grecian

This is a 1970s-80s full maxi length evening dress made from a light and soft, stretchable poly black fabric that moves beautifully when one walks. The dress was made by Riviera in the "What's New" line and is expertly cut and stitched. The Riviera designer label, with the Cat trademark, as well as the care instructions, are stitched into the side seam adjacent to the zipper. Size is UK 11 which is small to medium in the US. Because the fabric is stretchable, there is a size versatility

The style is one shoulder strap Grecian, with an asymmetrical design that creates a sloped neckline and back. The waist is also cut on that slanted angle, and the skirt has four flared panels that open when twirled or held out, while falling in graceful folds when stationary or gently moving. There is a hidden side zipper that has and upper inner hook and eye clasp. The hem is ragged cut, not stitched and can be sewn in if desired, but not required as the fabric does not fray.
