Vintage Velvet Jacket Vest Applique Embroidered Hippie BoHo Cat Garden Lined

Way cool one of a kind sixties short sleeved jacket or vest made from luxurious soft, chocolate dark brown velvet, with colorful applique and embroidered designs of a multicolor garden in front, and a cute applique cat with more flowers, foliage and an embroidered butterfly on the back.

The BoHo Hippie jacket is designed to be worn loose (no buttons) and is fully lined in a bronze plum shade of silky satin type fabric, with pockets on the lower inside. The lining is so nice and expertly finished that the piece could even be worn reversible!

The appliques are overstitched expertly by hand with thick embroidery thread, adding to the contrasts in the colorful pattern. The appliques themselves are made from assorted fabrics, including satin, corduroy, velvet, cotton etc

The cuffs are overstitched into 5 panels, as is the continuous collar, lapel, hem section

I know this is unique as it was custom made for the original owner.
