Vintage Table Lamp Milk Glass Tole Fabric Shade Pink Roses
A Vintage table lamp made of a combination of tole and milk glass, with a fabric lampshade. Very feminine and perfect for boudoir as a bedside or dressing table vanity lamp.
The base and neck of this c 1950s vintage lamp are made from tole (tin) painted dusky pink, while the body is made from creamy white milk glass, that has a transfer on the front depicting pink roses and green leaves, so would fit well with a shabby chic cottage style decor.
The socket for the light bulb is brass and the switch appears to be black bakelite.
The lampshade has an internal stiff cream satinized fabric, over which floral embroidered net is stretched, with a double organza ruffle at the top and bottom.
The base stands 10.75 inches from bottom to top of socket and 5 inches across the tole bottom, while the shade is approx 7.5 x 7 inches (height x rim diameter)
Condition is excellent with only light wear. The lamp will require rewiring prior to use, as the old wiring has been cut off at the bottom. The shade needs to be steamed to lift the upper ruffle that is flat from storage. The darkened area in front of the base on the photo is a shadow and not a stain
