Apollo Studios Brass Apple Jar

An Apollo Studios brass apple shaped jar, produced sometime between their 1909 - 1922 years of business in New York City.

The figural apple box has a removable brass insert jar. It may have been intended as a trinket box or vanity jar or possibly as a short cigarette holder or tobacco jar. The apple stem creates an unusual finial. Makes a striking decorative, and has versatile functionality.

Dimensions of 5 inches tall x 3 1/4 inches in diameter marked APOLLO A1270. All the pieces are in very good condition, considering this piece is around 100 years old! There is some tarnish that can be polished up if you prefer a brighter brass sheen, some wear due to age. I intentionally do not polish antique metalware as many collectors prefer the original patina.
