Vintage Handbag Black Patent Leather Convertible Clutch Purse Polka Dot Interior Hideaway Metal Handle

This black patent leather handbag is vintage 1950s-1960s and can be used as a clutch bag or with the metal handle flapped up to convert into a carry purse.

The shiny patent leather is gently pleated at the top where is is attached to a black matte fabric covered metal frame. The bag closes with a clip latch, and the short metal handle attaches to the inside of the frame, and can fold down into the bag when one wants to use it as a clutch.

The interior of this delightful handbag is lined with shiny black fabric that is patterned with white painted polka dot spots of variable size

As the bag is not marked, I do not know if this is real or faux patent leather.

Dimensions are 11 1/2 inches wide at the bottom, 9 1/2 inches at the top, 6 inches top to bottom. Handle is 6 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches

Condition is very good, vintage, with a few small scuff marks on the outside and minimal paint wear to the white dots inside. The fabric covering on the frame is lightly worn around the corners and against the metal latch and handle. The purse was stored flat in a trunk from an estate, and so needs to be plumped out from the inside
