Vintage Coat Faux Spotted Fur Print Mod Lined Fifties Sixties

This mod style above knee length coat is made from a fur fabric that has a cheetah or leopard skin print. It may be late 1950s vintage but the A - line style and the length makes me think Mods and minis of the early 1960s. The coat can be worn loose, swing style, or buttoned and belted to create a very chic appearance. Elegant enough for evening or to add flair to your favorite jeans and boots!

The belt is attached and has a 2 front and 2 back sections so that the sides of the coat are un-belted. The back belt is closed by a gold tone metal ring, while the front closes in the same way but opens with a press stud stitched inside. The coat front has a single breasted button closure, with four 1 inch diameter copper tone buttons that have dark brown centers, with the stitch holes accented by a copper metal trim. An ample collar can be worn turned up or down.

The nicely tailored coat is fully lined with a black sateen fabric and has the ILGWU International Ladies Garment Workers Union Coats & Suits label. Condition is excellent and clean, does have loose seams and restitching under one arm in the lining and also the fur, easily stitched up (see photo, price reduced). Expertly tailored with fitted darts.

Length center back 38 inches & center front 29 inches

Sleeves underarm 17 inches long & from shoulder is 21 inches, with 5 1/2 inch wide cuff that has a 1 inch hem

Collar flapped up is 4 inches , belt width is 2 3/4 inches
