Vintage Lucite Bracelet Tortoise w/ Tea Swirl Bangle

This vintage marbled Lucite bangle bracelet is a wonderful transparent tortoise color with tea swirl. The bangle bracelets is made from a high quality genuine 1960's Lucite and it was made by the Best Plastics Company. Bracelets from the Best Plastics Company are featured in several vintage plastic jewelry guides.

The DuPont Company began commercial production of Lucite in 1936. Lucite is a strong, transparent thermoplastic. It is clear in color but it can be tinted with any color, in this case the tortoise color.

The bangle is approximately 2.7 inches in diameter on the inside and just under 1 inch wide. It is in excellent, unworn condition.
