Beautiful and Colorful Strathearn Paperweight, from Scotland
Well, the secret is out! I truly love paperweights, and have decided to sell some of my collection. How can one not be attracted to the brilliant colors! This lovely piece has many exquisite canes, and the pattern is nearly perfect. It is divided with latticino, and is a spiral design. The central cane "flower" and all the flowers can best be appreciated under a magnifying glass. Beautiful paperweights appeal to the child in me. I look at this colorful beautiful creation and marvel at the patterns and details. Strathearn is a wonderful Scottish manufacturer. This paperweight in in Very Good to Excellent Condition. It does include some very tiny air bubbles which may have been intentional, since to my eye they add the slight "dew" to complete the illusion and feeling. The globe itself is beautifully clear, and obviously has never been polished. It bears the original Strathearn label. It is about 2 and 3/4 inches across, and stands a bit over 2 inches high.
