Antique Openwork Carved Jade Boy Holding Hydra - On Hanging Stand
By now you realize how I love the unusual, and have a special love for Asian antiques. Photos do not do this small treasure justice. The carved openwork in grey jade is very nice. The toggle itself of a boy holding a hydra by its tail is fascinating. The jade colorations run from grey to dark blue; very lovely!
The toggle is in Excellent Condition, as is the stand. The stand may be modern, but it is nicely carved.
The toggle is 1 and 3/4 inches tall. The stand is 6 and 1/2 inches tall.
This is a very interesting find; certainly one that will attract interest wherever displayed.
