Three Vintage Crested China Miniature Souvenirs Of Canada and Toronto
The first is in the form of a handled jug with an early coat of arms of the City of Toronto and the banner reading "Industry Intelligence Integrity". The maker's mark is printed on the bottom "W & R Stoke on Trent Carlton China Made In England". It is in excellent condition and stands 2 3/4" high.
The second is in the form of a vase and with an early coat of arms of Canada including symbols of the provinces, the beaver and maple leaves. It is stamped by the maker on the base "S & Co. Myotts England Royal Grafton China". It is 2 1/2" high and in excellent condition with very minor wear to the gold rim.
The third in the form of a pitcher with raised handle is decorated with a colorful autumn maple leaf with gold trim and beaver in the center. The top opening is rimmed in sterling silver with hallmarks that are difficult to read but appear to be London 1908. The manufacturer is not identified. It measures 2 1/2" to the tip of the handle and is in excellent condition with heavy age related tarnish of the silver. There is a manufacturing flaw on the back that appears to have been caused by a drop of the silver at the time of firing.
This is a very nice grouping for the collector of miniatures, early crestware, or Canadiana.
