Highly collectible, Fossil watch that comes mint in the original display box with a vintage style, wind up tin "News Boy" toy. Model number LE9490. The manufacturer's suggested retail price was $150. This is watch # 993 from a limited edition of just 5,000 pieces. The small, plastic piece, that keeps the watch from running, is still in place. Watch features include, "Precise Quartz Movement, and a Stainless Steel Case with Black Leather Strap. It is Water Resistant - 30M". This is the first limited edition wind-up toy and wrist watch set Fossil has put out! It was released in 1997. The tin toy is awesome! When wound, the news boy's head turns. His right hand moves and rings the bell. His left arm moves the newspaper from side to side. He works great. Yes, I tested it more than once! The display box has a solid wood base that is Maple, or similar hard wood. The box itself is made of cardboard, and has the same image on both sides, and has a tin top. The box shows minor shelf wear. There is no paper work.
