Sterling Guilloche Locket~Rose Themed

The slightly oval locket opens to reveal a place to hold to photographs. It measures 1 1/4" x 1". Hallmarked sterling on the inside, it comes suspended from a 16" silver chain. In excellent condition, layaway is available. Thanks.

Guilloche involves carving a design into a base metal, in this case silver. After this carving, the guilloche pattern is then sometimes filled with different colors of enamel paint. After enameling, decorative accents such as hand-painted roses may be added to an item.
