Mid Century Modern Art Pottery Sculpture of 2 Girls

This is a wonderful art pottery sculpture featuring two girls (perhaps sisters) in kneeling positions. The piece is made in terra cotta clay with icing-type glazes forming the dresses on the girls in blue and white. Their eyes are also glazed while the rest of the piece is in natural clay. The back of the piece is signed "M Winslow". The piece looks to me to be stylistically Scandinavian, but I haven't been able to find anything about an artist with the name of Winslow. The piece measures 9 5/8" by 6" at its base, by 7 ¾" in height, and weighs 4 lbs and 13 oz. It is in very good condition with no damage - two pinprick light spots on the front base, but this is really minor. This was obviously made by a very talented artist - the piece was acquired from a high-end estate that contained many mid-century treasures.
