Vintage Mexican Sterling Angel with Candle Brooch by Los Castillo

Charming brooch for Christmas or any religious occasion! From the renowed Los Castillo taller, this classic design of an angel holding a candle, its little head slightly bowed. I've seen this in one of the reference books on vintage Mexican silver jewelry, but cannot remember which one. The brooch is sterling silver, and the flame of the candle is copper. The patina is undisturbed, but the copper flame of the candle could be polished a bit to show the copper color. Delightful!

Measures approximately 1 inch wide by just under 3 inches tall.

The back of the brooch has the full set of Los Castillo marks.
