Vintage Bakelite Patriotic Victory Brooch

Fantastic piece of history! Genuine patriotic brooch from the forties, World War II era. A huge "V" for victory carved from red bakelite hangs from a bar of red, white, and blue bakelite, with a central brass U.S. eagle seal. The white bakelite has aged to a "cream corn" yellow patina, and the blue has darkened with age almost to black. Perfect for July 4 celebrations!

Measures just under 2 inches wide by almost 3 inches long. Nice and chunky!

Guaranteed vintage 1940s bakelite. Tested with Simichrome (see photo for strong yellow reaction on Q-Tip).
