C. 1948 "Mr. Roberts" Fireside Theatre Brochure: Henry Fonda
In years past, "Curtain Time" was a publication called which highlighted new plays, the scripts for which were offered by the parent company, Fireside Theatre. This six-page brochure highlights the much-loved "Mr. Roberts," later a major Hollywood film. Stars of the play included Henry Fonda, who reprised his role on celluloid, Henry Hull, William Harrigan, Murray Hamilton, and Jocelyn Brando, a lady who had a baby brother named Marlon. The show opened on Broadway at the Alvin Theatre in February 1948.
Also included is a cover letter from the Membership Secretary of the Fireside Theatre, which was located in Garden City, New York. Everything's in excellent vintage condition.
