This romantic vintage double heart 14 KT gold overlay pin has 2 cultured pearls that are suspended on a branch of leaves that connect the hearts. It was created by the designer, Krementz, circa 1950s. The ad that was tucked inside the box states that their jewelry "has a surface layer of hard rolled 14 Kt. gold, which is thirty times thicker than that used on ordinary electroplated costume jewelry." Krementz developed this process so that it's jewelry would have all the wearing quality and fine beauty of solid gold. It was expensive at the time, also. The back of the pin has "Krementz" engraved on the pin stem. The pin measures 1 1/4" wide. The clasp is in fine working order and the pin is in excellent condition. The orignal white and gold presentation box has 2 descriptive tags inside the is lined with satin and green velvet. The ad has a lifetime guarantee, cleaning tips, and a pictorial of the gold rolling process. The other side of the ad has pictures of other Krementz jewelry for gift suggestions. All of these pieces, as well as the pin, are in great condition and would be a fine addition to your vintage jewelry collection.
