Dr. Scholl's Moleskin Foot Plaster Can # 248 with Product

Dr. Scholl’s has been around since I can remember, and so has this very collectable tin in my home. The can states it originally had a “plaster” inside measuring 7 X 10 inches. Apparently someone cut off a 5 inch portion as it now measures 7 X 5 inches of unused product inside.

I believe the can to be from the 1930's due to the fact that it reads “Copr.1938 the Dr. Scholl’s MFG. Co. Inc.” On the back.

The can reads:

FOOT PLASTER For Relieving CORNS, BUNIONS, CALLOUSES, SORE TOES CAUSED BY SHOE FRICTION AND PRESSURE

Made especially for: SURGICAL, CHIROPODICAL, MEDICAL HOUSEHOLD AND CLINICAL USES, SCIENTIFICALLY COMPOUNDED

DIRECTIONS FOR USE Have the parts clean and thoroughly dry. Remove one end of the Moleskin from the crinoline backing and then with a scissors cut to the desired size and shape. For best results, Moleskin should be removed at night and renewed daily. No. 248 THE SCHOLL MFG. CO. INC.

FOOT COMFORT APPLIANCES AND REMEDIES

CHICAGO. NEW YORK. TORONTO. LONDON. PARIS

Copr. 1938 The Scholl MFG. Co. Inc.

Reg. U S Pat Off. Printed in U S A

The can is in good shape. Has a few scratches and lightning of the label in spots that I have tried to show you in the photographs.

Excellent for your collection of drugstore or tin containers.

Note, the word Chiropodical is not a misspelling. It was apparently used to refer to Chiropractic use at that time.
