Staffordshire Transfer-ware Plate Canova pattern

This is a nice example of Staffordshire Black Transfer-ware. Although the maker is not identified, it is probably Thomas Mayer's, made in Stoke on Trent during the 1830's – 1850's. The only mark on back is "Canova Stoneware". The plate is 10-1/2" in diameter and has some slight crazing and staining in the center scene. It is a garden scene overlooking a river boat and distant buildings. Sales tax must be collected for buyers living in or picking up in New York State or Massachusetts. Local tax rate applies.
