TIME Magazine, April 4, 1969 -- featuring Dwight Eisenhower

This 1969 TIME Magazine features an article on Dwight D. Eisenhower, the thirty-fourth president of the United States. He was born on October 14, 1890 and passed away in Washington, D.C. on March 28, 1969.

Some of the other articles featured in this issue include: "The Future of Black Leadership" .. an essay written a year after Martin Luther King, Jr. died; "Ready to Talk with the Viet Cong"; "The Army Takes Over Pakistan"; "New Steps Toward a Mideast Peace"; "Natural v. Artificial Hearts"; "Toxicology" .. an article talking about lead poisoning in children; "Why Psychiatrists Disagree in Court" .. an article talking about the psychological state of Sirhan Sirhan, the person who shot Robert Kennedy.

Another aspect of interest are the advertisements shown in the magazine! They are always a treat to view and think about how things have changed.

The magazine has yellowed with age, especially the page edges (as seen in the photos). It does have that 'musty' smell of old books. There is one stain on a page (as noted in the one photo). The cover does show a little wear and some smudges. Overall the condition for its age is good to fair.
