Vintage Lard Bucket, Lunch Pail, Hand Painted

This is a hard to find Hand Painted Lunch Pail or bucket which originally held lard for cooking. The manufacturer designed it to be re-used as a lunch pail once it was empty. This has been hand painted at a later date with a delightful picture of two sweet little wide eyed children taking shelter under a big pink umbrella, and little yellow baby ducks playing in the puddles, very decorative. It has a wire bail carrying handle and a loop handle on the lid. There is what I think is a signature over to the right, and I have shown it in the pictures. The pail is from the early 1900s and the painting, which is reminiscent of George Keene, probably from the 50s or 60s. It is in very good condition for it's age with no dents, just a normal amount of wear which is to be expected. A very decorative piece to display in the kitchen or a child's room. It stands 4 1/2" to the top of the pail, 8" to the top of the handle and 6" wide.
