The Study of Man 1936 Social Science Book

This student's edition for The Study of Man, An Introduction by Ralph Linton, Ph.D., professor of Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin, was published as a hardcover by the D. Appleton-Century Company in 1936 and is 503 pages, including the bibliography and index.

The dark green fabric cover has a large soil spot, some wear along the edges on the front cover and there's a bit of soil and scratch marks on the back cover. The gold lettering on the spine is faded. Inside, there's a student's name and room number handwritten in ink indicating that this book was used at William and Mary College in Virginia. There are no missing or damaged pages but they have tanned from sitting on bookshelves for so long. There is underlining throughout with some notations in the margins. This title is part of The Century Social Science Series.

It's condition does not deem it a good collector copy but, for the social science buff, would make for an interesting read regarding the research gathered some 75 years ago.
