The Lovers a Pablo Picasso Vintage Print

You are viewing a wonderful old Picasso vintage print called The Lovers, the original of which was painted in 1923 in oil. It is a nice-sized print with overall measurements of 11-1/2" x 14-3/4" and an image size of 10" x 13-5/8". The soft shades of orange, pink, purple, and gray make it a great candidate for working well with several choice color schemes. The print is from the 1960s and is in excellent condition with a stain located at the lower left corner tip and a couple of very light bumps along the left edge of the paper. This piece was printed on quality paper as part of an old art book, and in this case, has on the reverse side related handwritten notations and unrelated printed text.

Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) enjoyed being raised in an artistic environment under the influence of his father who was an art teacher. Not only was Picasso a painter, he was also an accomplished draftsman and printmaker. Together with French Fauvist artist Georges Braque, Picasso and Braque founded the short-lived Cubist movement.
