Vintage Cauldon Chariot Blue Transfer Printed Chamberstick

A small blue and white chamberstick style candlestick, transfer printed in the popular Chariot pattern. The Chariot pattern was made by the Cauldon potteries in Staffordshire between 1905 and into the 1930s. This is an unusual piece, and the only one I have seen in a number of years. A very interesting piece in this popular pattern.

The chamberstick is in very good condition. There is no damage and no restoration. There are two small areas of glaze missing from the rim, where two of the stilts used in the manufacturing glazing fire were placed. The third stilt mark is under the rim on the opposite side and has is a very small area of minor discolouration around it. I have illustrated these areas. The sconce leans very slightly, as illustrated. There is very minor discolouration in the bottom of the sconce.

The chamber stick is 5.3 inches wide and 2.4 inches high.
