Tribal Inspired Textured Copper Earrings with Turquoise

Turquoise was combined with textured copper to create these exotic, tribal inspired earrings. I drew the shapes, and then sawed them out of copper sheet with a jeweler's saw. They were domed slightly upward for depth and dimension; and then oxidized, buffed and polished to bring out the texture's detail. I added stacks of turquoise heishi beads to complete the organic, tribal look.

The earrings measure approx. 1-3/4" in length and 1-1/8" in width (at the widest point). They are signed on the back with my initials. They are topped off with niobium ear wires, which is a hypoallergenic material.

These earrings make a bold, exotic and organic statement. They are large enough to make a statement, but yet light enough to be comfortable to wear.
