Superb Ballerina Perfume Lamp by Fulper

This offering is for an art deco designed art pottery perfume lamp, manufactured by the Fulper Pottery Company. The lamp is a superb example of a figural ballerina, posed bowing to her audience. The ballerina is depicted, wearing a pastel colored orange costume. Her features are detailed. She has raven black hair arranged in a soft, wrapped coiffure. Her pretty blue eyes and ruby red lips accent her beauty and finely boned facial structure. Place your favorite scent is in the " well" that surrounds the original bulb. As the bulb heats, the scent is converted to a vapor. The fragrant vapor is released through the holes in the ballerina's hair. The bulb also lights the costume, with a soft glow. The lamp has a double use as a night light. Imagine a favorite scent inducing sleep, in the presence of a soft orange glow from the lamp. Then, as morning arrives, the day begins perfectly. The lingering scent gently arouses your senses, while the soft orange glow beckons you rise and greet the sun. The lamp is in excellent condition, with no chips, hairlines, factory flaws, or restoration. There is minor wear on the rim of the base, from placing and removing the figural portion of the lamp. The silk wrapped cord is original, as is the plug. The lamp works well, but, in my opinion, the plug should be replaced to assure safe operation. The base has an impressed "FULPER" mark, which is fairly easily seen. The lamp is priced as it was when I purchased at auction 15 years ago--a nice "catch" for the new owner.
