Vintage Corocraft Brooch Sterling Silver Designer Signed Pegasus Rhinestone Brooch

This vintage brooch dates to the 1940s and was designed by Adolph Katz and patented in 1944, under design patent number 139100. It is signed CoroCraft and marked in script as Sterling Silver. The back side also features the flying Pegasus. There are 3 large, red and green glass cabochons. It has a row of red baguette rhinestones running across the brooch brow, and yet another row of round blue rhinestones above that. Scattered all across the brooch are pave set diamond crystal rhinestones. The substantial sterling is plated in gold. This brooch is in very good condition. The pin on the back works well. There are no missing rhinestones, and all stones are in good condition with no lost color. The brooch measures 2" by 1-1/2". Please let me know if you have questions about this piece. It will ship with insurance and signature confirmation.

CoroCraft was the high end of Coro Jewelry's jewelry line and was primarily made from about 1930 through the early 1950s. CoroCraft was eventually replaced by Vendome as Coro's upscale line. CoroCraft jewelry was well made, and the construction and material used was not spared.
