This hand painted cookie jar from Japan has an incised wood grained look and a bold red eagle design on the front. The jar is in very good condition with only two small chips on the underside of the lid. The largest chip is less than a quarter inch wide. The interior of the jar has a shiny white glaze. The piece measures 7.75" tall to the knob on the lid, and measures 6.5" wide. This wood grained look was popular in the 1970's, and appears to be coming around again.

This pretty cat cookie jar is in the Poppies ob Blue pattern by Lenox China Company. The Poppies on Blue pattern was produced from 1984 to 2007. I am not sure when the cookie jar was issued. It is in excellent condition and appears to have not been used. The original price tag of $54 is still on the bottom. The cookie jar stands almost 11" tall, is about 6.5" wide, and is 8" long from paw to tail. It is a gorgeous jar. How can a cat lover resist that sweet face?| Items 1 - 2 of 2 | Page 1 of 1 |
