This neat little stoneware bowl had the speckled glaze and brown rim so popular in the 1960's and 1970's. This one is marked France and has a maker's mark which resembles a stylized "S", which I have not been able to identify. The bowl has lion heads on two sides. It is the style of bowl traditionally used for French onion soup. The bowl is in excellent condition, and measures 3.5" tall and 4.25" across the rim.
